How difficult is it to interpret viral testing?
My doc ran an ISAC test on me and my CD62P was 21. Normal range was listed as 1-27, but she spoke with someone she trusts back east who says if the value is over 12, it indicates that a chronic viral infection is affecting the blood flow. Something along the lines of EBV, HHV6, CMV, etc. She didn't strongly recommend the viral testing because of cost and difficulty in interpretation. She wants to put me on Engystol, then Andrographis, then Plasmyc (transfer factor). She says this protocol will kill the virus, though it takes a few months to work.
Are some of these viruses common with Lyme? Has anyone had experience with this, or with this treatment plan? Any comments on the CD62P?
I am really wanting to test for viruses before treating. I would love to know what it is I am treating! Are the tests that hard to interpret?
