they cant hold a job you see

Oh but some of us do hold jobs Abbie, unlike you.  Guess we struck a nerve!  Like um uh-huh giggle giggle duh.  real intelligent ERV!  And people are supposed to take her seriously?  She seems to think she can dish up dirt but she can't seem to take it.  Grow up Abbie. And when you're a grown up maybe you'll learn how to talk and will then be taken seriously. Until then you might want to refrain from talking crap about real scientists.  Seems how you're not one.  The pics were for Levi and the interviewer who was so interested in if she was single and also what she wears. And there's nothing to compare, the goat was cute. hahaha

Hey and homely was much better then what I could have called her and I did not even have to resort to the "C" word.  And she's not a scientist Rob!

It seems Roberts Ronald is upset with us too.  It appears he thinks we have "twisted minds."
Oh, and he doesn't like our support for "vitamin promotor (sic) Mikovits" either.  It astonishes him.

But I have to say, if he thinks we "never post anything constructive and have immensely harmed the ME/CFS community,"  why is he reading this forum?

As a ME/CFS patient myself it sickens me to read the responses of most individuals on that toxic forum. They never post anything constructive and have immensely harmed the ME/CFS community. Their support for vitamin promotor Mikovits astonishes me, because anyone with more than two brain cells can see the XMRV hypothesis is burried. Unfortunately it hasn’t played out but science isn’t a popularity contest. I just want to get better and supporting conspiracy theories isn’t going to do a damn thing. But I guess you have these kind of people in any disease group. The autism community is full of them, cancer has them too  (Tim Cook from Apple is still lauhging) and by reading this blog the AIDS/HIV community too.

I guess my main point is that we’re not all like this and it’s just a very small minority that has twisted minds.

I am not going to take anyone seriously who suggests that Tim Cook is laughing about the way Steve Jobs passed away.  Moreover, it's laughable to make such posts on a site that doesn't seem to believe in ME to begin with.  As Angela Kennedy, might say it's a fair chance that person is an agent provocateur.

Hi Robyn,

I believe that ERV has some sort of paid lab position at her school, so she DOES have a job.  You have a job, I have a job, Abbie has a job.  Sad but true.  I could work a lot more and have a decent standard of living if I was not dealing with ME issues.  As far as the argument that folks who use the internet can not possibly be disabled or sick, that is a standard cheap shot:

It took me from May 4 to what, May 14th?, to transcribe the first two minutes of the interview.  So, if I had a job doing transcriptions, I would certainly starve :(  Maybe WD is a tad faster at it ;)  Robyn, you missed the retracted comment to the effect that ERV was completely terrified of that goat photo. She only left that comment up up briefly and then evidently thought better about it. So as not to encourage goatie stuff on her blog. Someone DID post a link to a sweet looking LaMancha though :)

That's a nice looking goat you posted.   Seriously.  Beautiful color and markings.  Nice confirmation. Did not terrify me at all.

Why does the community give this girl so much play?  Lets practice a little behaviorism and do some planned ignoring.  WIthout the attention she will move on to other people that she can get a rise out of.

It's all good material for the next "Osler'd Web" isn't it or whoever writes the version of "and the band played on" for CFS when the cause and a cure is found?

No one would take her seriously when she says we are all crazy unless they really did have a problem with very ill disabled patients and enjoyed abusing them.

That's just plain sicko  - unless one is of the same ilk.

OT but ERV related, just stumbled on this - apparently it isn't just us ME/CFS losers who think she's got a gutter mouth - other science bloggers & even Nat Geo (who own SciBlogs) think she's a bit OTT at times...

So it isn't us specifically or anything, she's just a pretty shitty human being in general
